Reimbursements

Reimbursements can only be made if all the required documents are provided, as outlined below. After reviewing the documents, we will process the reimbursement via international bank transfers, a few weeks after LACORO. We will transfer the nominal amount of the expenses, expressed in Chilean pesos (CLP). If relevant, the nominal amount may be calculated (e.g., converting USD to CLP for a plane ticket) by considering either the current exchange rates at the time of processing the reimbursements or the exchange rates at the time of the expense. Any amount deducted due to currency conversions or other transfer-related fees is the responsibility of the grantee.

  • Copy of your passport or identity card.
  • Bank account information.
  • Invoices: Travel: Plane ticket + boarding pass or bus ticket to your name (in economic class). For Chilean students, the maximum amount is 150 USD. For other nationalities, there is no specific limit for this item. Lodging: Hotel, Hostel, or Airbnb expenses with a receipt that indicates the dates and your name. Up to 70 USD per night will be reimbursed, or a maximum of 350 USD. This amount includes extra charges, such as breakfast or taxes.

Depending on the source of the funds, we might also need:

  • IEEE membership number.
